PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 28

Early in the month I focused on a different type of garden. I don't think this was Bill's garden, but I am sure he appreciated it.

PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 27

On the occassion of his 26th birthday, here a couple of photos of Bill's nephew/Godson, Joe (left), with his brother Robert. Joe is approximately 6 years old in the photos; Robert is 2.

PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 26

Michael can certainly vouch for Bill's obsession with ducks. Here's a different slant on duck photos, with Sheila lending a hand in New York's Chinatown, December 1982.

PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 25

I'm not sure of the reason so many photos (at least 10) were taken of foil-wrapped food, but here are two of those photos.

PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 14

Not the best of the photos, but since I have always been a big John Lennon fan, these have sentimental value. A few photos of John's car (a Bentley?) from the Vancouver Expo.

PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 13

I was able to track down the hotel in this photo, and my previous suspicions were corrected: the photos on the slide reels which are being featured are all from the Vancouver area.

PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 11

There are many, many photos from this location, which would seem to indicate that Bill enjoyed his time there. I have discovered that the location is Butchart Gardens, located in Vancouver.

A SAD ANNIVERSARY

Today marks the sixth anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

In tribute to those who died on that day, the Photo feature will go dark today.

To see view the tribute entry on the "brother blog" to The Big Bukowski, see The Big Bukowski II.

PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 10

Here are a few more photos from the "estate-like" unknown location.

INTRODUCING VOICE MAIL

I'm introducing a new feature today - Voice Mail. You can now call and leave a thought or memory of Bill at (818) 287-6603. The phone number is a local North Hollywood number, Bill's last place of residence.

So that you are not shocked when you call, the voice answering is Bill's. I am working on another enhancement that I will roll out near the end of this week which will allow me to post the voice messages. So, if you haven't emailed a memory or a thought and you would now like to pay verbal tribute to Bill , here's your chance.

PICTURES FROM BILLY, DAY 6

Through the scanning process, I have come across slides that I really enjoy. Here are two of those. The first is obviously from a plane, the second is from an unknown location.

Sticking with the theme of 1984 music for at least one more day - while I was in L.A. in July of 1984, Elvis Costello released the Goodbye Cruel World. I picked up a copy of the LP at Tower Records and we listened to it several times while I was in town. This was the first single from the album.
